I have indeed found a new and exciting book.... wait .....for ....it .... The Flight Of The Nighthawks ..By..Raymond Feist. I picked it up by chance at a Walmart of all places lol. I read about the first 38 pages in hour, hour an half and im delighted to say im hooked. May not be as good as Mr. Batson's Door Within trilogy but indeed very interesting thus far. Just thought i would let every one (this includes the 5 people that have ever visited my page) that visits my blog know. ^_^ So check it out if you wish.

Book description

In the middle of the night on Sorcerer's Isle, the powerful sorcerer Pug is awakened from a nightmare that portends destruction for all of Midkemia. Disturbed by the dream, Pug calls for a convening of the Conclave of Shadows. Though Pug does not yet know it, his son Magnus has discovered the cause of Pug's prophetic dream: a beacon has been unleashed, directing a vast army of alien invaders to Midkemia, an army so formidable that even the might of the Tsurani Empire might fall before its fury.

Meanwhile, in far Stardock town, two boys are coming of age. But on the dusty path that leads them from home they are thrust by fate into a life undreamed of, becoming enmeshed in intrigue, murder, and treason. Though untrained and unready, they are called upon by the mysterious Conclave to travel deep into the heart of the Empire of Great Kesh, to confront a plot so dark and twisted it will implicate even the highest-ranking nobles of the Empire, even members of the royal family itself. And behind this plot they discover the ancient Brotherhood of Death, the clan of assassins known as the Nighthawks.

And Pug will find himself once again facing his old nemesis, the evil wizard formerly known as Sidi, now Leso Varen, in a confrontation with everything at stake: his honor, his life, and the future of Midkemia.

Have you read the Door Within and Curse of the Spider King? They are both by Wayne Thomas Batson, and are AWESOME! I will post reviews for them below.

1. Isle of Swords, by Wayne Thomas Batson - REVIEW:This is a wonderful example of pirate fiction. Declan Ross, captain of the William Wallace, must venture out and cross swords with the infamous pirate, Bartholomew Thorne, over the treasure of Constantine, the biggest treasure ever to cross the earth. But, the mysterious Isle of Swords is both difficult to find, and difficult to navigate. The Isle of Swords is not located on any map. Huge and treacherous waves protect it, and even past the waves, dangers lurk. Cross currents circle the island, leading searching ships in completely the wrong direction, without them knowing. Even past that, there are dangers. Sharp coral spears stick out of the water, completely surrounding the isle, with only one path through it. And after that, the visitor must dive through shark and sea monster-infested water to receive a key incased in stone, and travel through caves full of flesh-eating bats; unless, of course, you had a bucket of monkey pee ready. But even with all of the obstacles, will the fabled treasure of Constantine, which is more than gold and jewels, still be safe?

Curse of the Spider King - By Wayne Thomas Batson and Christopher Hopper - REVIEW: In Curse of the Spider King, seven royal, elven kids are unknowingly sent to a different world – Earth. However, the only reason for this is an ancient curse, and now that the curse has lifted, assassins from the other world are chasing after the kids, trying to do what they couldn’t thirteen years ago. Luckily, several good elves have also traveled to Earth, and are rescuing the seven elven kids. But will the elves be able to find the kids in the sea of billions of humans? Will the elves be able to unite them together? And will the elves be able to return to the world they miss so much? I think that this book is very creatively written. It has many exciting cliffhangers, and never gets boring. There are few mistakes, and many creatures that are fun to read about, but would be absolutely terrifying in real life.
